RigCheck - Testing Shroud/Stay terminations - Poole, Dorset
Electronic testing and visual inspection of shrouds/stays and their terminations including swage, swageless (Sta-lok, Norseman, S3i etc.). The test will identify internal corrosion, broken strands, Cracked terminals, defective swaging or assembly and movement inside the terminal. In addition we also offer the following supplementary services:
- Visual inspection of:
- VHF antenna fittings
- Wind direction and speed sensor fittings
- Radar reflector fittings
- Radar fittings
- Visual inspection and bulb* replacement, if necessary, of all mast light fittings including Tricolour, steaming, anchor and deck.
- Re-taping terminals to reduce sail chafing.
* Bulbs supplied by customer.
We are able to undertake this work with either the mast standing or with the mast stepped. In the former case we require the presence of a competent person to winch the tester up the mast. Apart from the use of two free halyards of sufficient strength, RigCheck supplies all other equipment including a Bosun's chair. Please note, testing can only be undertaken in suitable weather conditions which are sometimes difficult to predict. www.metcheck.com
